The MBTI Assessment is ideal for a wide range of applications, including:
- Team development and cohesion
- Helps improve awareness among team members
- Identify teams strengths and blind spots
- Leadership development
- Conflict management
- Stress management
- Career transition and planning
The purpose of knowing about personality type is to understand and appreciate differences between people. As all types are considered equal, there is no best type.
The MBTI instrument sorts for preferences and does not measure trait, ability, or character. The MBTI tool is different from many other psychological instruments and also different from other personality tests.
The best reason to choose the MBTI instrument to discover your personality type is that hundreds of studies over the past 40 years have proven the instrument to be both valid and reliable. In other words, it measures what it says it does (validity) and produces the same results when given more than once (reliability). When you want an accurate profile of your personality type, ask if the instrument you plan to use has been validated.
Jonathan Silk is an Executive Coach and Certified MBTI Practitioner. He is able to administer the MBTI ® instrument. These tools can be taken online or with a paper version depending on your needs. The MBTI does require the interpretation of a certified practitioner and Jonathan is able to conduct leadership and team workshops for your organization, or one-on-one coaching sessions.
